Organised by: RC Thane Horizon (President: Rtn.Nilesh Veera) Venue: Lodha World School, Thane Activity Partner: Triumph Blood Bank, Thane and Interact Club of Lodha World School, Thane No.of blood units collected: *61* units of blood for Thalassemia patients The students of the Interact Club of Lodha World School Thane ( about 20 students ) along with two teachers visited the Triumph Blood Bank a fortnight ago. The CMO of the blood bank Dr.Varsha Pancholi, explained to them about Thalassemia and took them on a guided tour of the blood bank. These students sensitized their peers in all other classes through their presentations. They also prepared several posters informing parents about thalassemia and blood donation. During the blood donation camp, these students also volunteered for donor registration, distribution of refreshments and in the donation counter. School coordination: Rtn.
